So I have finally finished putting together my ePortfolio and it has definately been a learning experience. I have learnt many new things throught the course of this unit, many of which will be beneficial when I begin teaching.

Overall I am satisfied with how my ePortfolio has turned out.

As it has been a while since my last blog post, I thought I would post an update on what has happened since my last post. We have finished all the topics presentations/lessons. Everyone did a great job and it was interesting to see the various ways ICT can be used in the classroom. I have definately learned a great deal from these presentations, not only on the subject, but about teaching as well. This will contribute to my teaching skills and be put into practise in my upcoming practical experience in a few weeks time.

I recieved a school for my practical professional experience coming up. I recieved St Columba’s at Springwood. It is a beautiful school and the students and teachers there are very helpful. I will be teaching a woodwork, textiles and food technology class. It is very exciting, but nerver racking at the same time. I will be putting together my lesson plans for the first few classes very soon.

Ready to submit Part A

So my ePortfolio is now ready to submit for part A of the assignment. It has been a good experience using wordpress to create this ePortfolio because it is so easy, but the results are a professional looking portfolio and I am proud of my work so far.

The task for part A only asked for four pages, but I have included many more pages because I keep coming across various websites and videos that I thought would be relevant to this ePortfolio that did not fit in on any other section of the ePortfolio, so I created a new page for it. Hopefully I will continue to add valuable content for part B of the ePortfolio when it comes time to work on it.

I have updated the Digital documents, resources and professional experience page. I have had trouble inserting images, so I will need to work out how to fix that.
